Luke’s Civil Service Journey

We love seeing the people we serve develop, grow, and achieve their goals.

Luke started receiving Employment Services from us years ago. Eventually, Luke became involved with the Self Determination in Action Project, which is a program that teaches individuals with disabilities about their rights, self-advocacy, and independence.

Luke is now a course leader for the project, and with what he learned in the classes (and is now teaching others) Luke is making his dreams reality, running for a seat in the House of Representatives, advocating for Disability Rights in Jefferson City, and mobilizing local volunteers to help make disability voices heard in local government.

We are 25 million voices strong

Everyone has a right to vote. For the 2020 election, numerous staff members volunteered to drive anyone we serve who needed a ride to the polls.

No matter what team they were on or department they work in, staff members made sure individuals got to their polling place and made their voice heard by casting their vote!
