We promise to be financially strategic to fuel growth and innovation.
How we’re doing
Our mission would not be possible without the generosity of our donors. We want to ensure that we manage that support responsibly and distribute it where it can make the largest impact.
We are currently operating at a 1.7% overall operating margin, and have increased our financial reserves from 12% in FY20 to 37% in FY22. We will continue to focus on diversifying our revenue funds by identifying new service lines and populations served that could generate additional revenue. We also aim to fully fund our commercial insurance and private pay services.
Our philanthropic efforts grew in many areas in FY22. Individual and major gifts raised an amazing $563,084. We were able to launch a new philanthropic group, the Women’s Giving Collective, group of women leaders who support the mission and services of Easterseals . At the end of FY22, this initiative already has 32 members and continues to grow. We were also excited to see that 345 employees are currently participating in our employee giving program, amplifying their impact each day. Overall, our development department, which is responsible for the many amazing events we hold throughout the year, maintain a 38% expense ratio.
